Since 1901, Cornellians have gathered to witness the creativity and grit of the architecture students. This year’s Dragon Day theme was Veiled, showcasing a massive structure of red wood and translucent fabric. Freshmen spent weeks designing and building the dragon to lead a parade across campus. For the first time in the event’s history, students and visitors were invited to walk through the dragon’s frame after the parade. This interactive element allowed the campus community to appreciate the months of student labor that keep this 125-year-old tradition alive. Per tradition, the celebration took place the last day before spring break (per tradition, I left early so I missed it).
