The Big Red wrapped up the Ivy League Championships in Princeton with a historic performance on the strip. Senior Ketki Ketkar secured the individual title in epee, marking the first time a Cornell fencer has ever won an individual conference championship in any weapon.
Beyond the historic gold, the team saw strong contributions across the board. The sabre squad held its own against tough Ivy competition, led by a second-team All-Ivy performance.
While the team faced difficult matchups against Princeton, Yale, and Penn on the final day of competition, the individual accolades highlight the program’s growing elite presence. The Big Red now looks ahead to the NCAA Northeast Regional in March, where they will send a full slate of competitors to fight for a spot on the national stage.
