Big Red Moon Club really filled up Goldwin Smith G64, packing the room with hundreds of students for a highly anticipated (satirical) debate. The competition between two student teams was shockingly long—much longer than average—as they tackled the burning question of whether pegging is or isn’t gay. The audience members were right on the edge of their seats the entire time. While early projections favored the not gay camp, they faced stiff competition from the enthusiastic affirmative.
The crowd was eager to get in on the action too, posing deep, hard questions that the debaters received so well. While the administration usually keeps campus discourse dry, these students took matters into their own hands to provide some much-needed relief.
With over 100,000 shares on the announcement, the viral momentum finally built up to a climax on Tuesday. It’s proof that Cornellians are always ready to get behind a stimulating performance. Big energy and laughs made for an unforgettable night that really hit the spot. And despite what the promotion teased about bipartisan cooperation, this was a strictly solo performance. The Moon Club had to satisfy the massive crowd on their own; no other organizations helped to handle the load. (Maybe they were busy practicing?)
